How To Foster Vision

I always thought thinking about the vision, and looking for a way to foster it was an unnecessary subject. Creating a vision for your life may seem like a ridiculous, fantastic waste of time, but it isn't. In reality, it is one of the most effective strategies for realising your dreams. Originating a compelling vision of the life you want is like a compass to help you take the best actions and make the right choices.

People do not develop vision because they believe exercise is futile. Why would they devise a vision to deal with impossible things? If so, they are right. A vision is not needed.

Why do you need a vision?

I've noticed something else over the last few years: The most interesting and successful people I know always have a vision. They seem to know what is to come, just as they see the future.

On the other hand, there is a common feature of people I know who have difficulties and see despair in their eyes. None of them have a vision. Many of them don't even have long-term goals.

Well, then the question becomes something like "What is the cause and effect relationship?".

Does having a vision help you change your life for the better? Or does the chance to change your life enable you to create a vision?

Actually, neither. It's like a chicken-egg affair. So being able to change your life and having a vision for it are integral parts of living a great life. Just like "yin and yang". They are interconnected and complementary to each other. Find your motivation to change your life and create a vision for it. Or create a vision for your life and then design how to change it.

What is the difference between a life vision and long-term goals?

Goals are individual experiences and what you want to achieve. Buying a house or a car can be a goal. Seeing the big picture is vision. The vision of your life tells you who you want to be, what you want to be known, and all of the experiences and achievements you seek. Your vision provides you with a framework for evaluating these goals. It helps you define your goals.

Success starts with a long-term vision

You can't live a life that matters until you define what's important. Defining what matters is the primary goal of the vision. Only a handful of people truly take the time to develop a vision for their lives. You cannot live your life with purpose without a clear vision.

However, a captain who knows the direction he will go can set his sail and make the appropriate adjustments and take his boat to the destination. Otherwise, at best, you're stuck in the middle of the sea.

This post will give you the steps and guide you to create a personal vision for your life. In order to get the most out of this process, I strongly recommend that you set aside a period of uninterrupted time and do it in a place where you can think comfortably.

What do you want?

◦ What is really important to you in life? It's not what matters, it's what matters.

◦ What qualities would you like to develop?

◦ What are your values? What topics have you cared about so far?

◦ What are your secret passions and dreams?

◦ What are your abilities? What do you have that is special to you?

◦ What legacy do you leave behind? What do you want to have more in your life?

◦ Forget about money for a moment; What do you want in your career?

◦ What can bring more joy and happiness into your life?

◦ What would you most like to achieve?

◦ How do you want your relationships to be?

Your vision tells you what it will be like.

Your vision should aim to answer questions such as: In fact, your vision will be much easier to create if you start by answering these questions.

◦ What kind of life would you like to live 10, 25 and 50 years from now?

◦ What kind of people would you like to be around you in these years?

◦ What do you want to be famous for? What is the greatest thing you can achieve?

◦ What would you change in the world if you had the chance?

◦ When you die, what should people say and remember about you?

An overview of the vision process:

REVIEW THE PAST:

You have come to the present as the sum of the good and bad things you have experienced in the past. You cannot start by forgetting the pains you went through, the successes you experienced, and the lessons you learned from your mistakes. You will need all of these.

VALUE THE NOW:

You should take a picture of where and how you are today. This snapshot will lay the foundation for building a vision for your future.

CREATE A VISION:

In this step, you will look to the future. You will create a vision for the future that covers at least the next three years.
